![]() Even at the time of its release its graphics weren’t impressive and were more in line with PlayStation One games. Combat itself is confusing at first, but once rules and victory or defeat conditions become clear, the game becomes very easy. The card game itself doesn’t look very good, spells and monsters look fine but the CG animated snippets just break immersion. Sound-wise the game is great, even if the soundtrack feels bland at times, relying on one or two memorable tracks.Īs was the case with Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories on PS1, The Duelists of the Roses is a true love it/hate it kind of game. Fans of the franchise will scream bloody murder when they see this score, while casual gamers are gonna think the grade is at least a couple points too high. But here's the bottom line: While far from great and way too complicated for its own good, Duelists is reasonably deep and ultimately pretty satisfying. ![]() Players willing to put 20-plus hours into learning the rules of this crazy card-and-board-game hybrid will have a decent time. After all, the monster battles look fantastic and the game's strategic elements make for a surprisingly addictive experience. The problem is, it takes forever to learn how to play the damn thing. I then went to the thrift store, but there wasn't anything new, it was pretty much the same stuff from yesterday. The last things I found was a Pittsburgh Pirates hat and a Digimon digivice for $3.00. ![]() I found the dusty NES pad and he said it was $10. ![]() A kind old man had his setup and he looked like he sold a lot of things already. The best find was for $10.00 a PS1 guncon and a NES advantage together. Followed up for $2.00, a My Hero Academia toy. ![]() Then for $2.00 I found something that I vaguely remember having as a kid, a Tonka RV camper toy car. First find was a ziplock bag with some small yugioh figures for $5.00. That or sellers are still relaxing for new years. 01/05/22: My first Wednesday finds of 2022! The fleamarket seems to have slowed down considerably lately. ![]()
